never actually pulled one off, but incase you break it (hoping its not already a color matched one) i picked up a regular black textured one at auto zone for $6 for my girlfriends dad's truck a few weeks ago
I read about it somewhere before... I believe you have to push down on the top of it? Like put your thumbs on the handle and other 8 fingers on top of it and pull down. I remember I tried it on mine just for the hell of it and it started to come off, but I didn't take it off all the way.
I think the bezel pops out from the bottom and then slides out. It should be pretty easy to figure out - what's the worst thing that could happen ? :)
I break about every other bezel that I take off. Just when I thought I had it figured out I would break it.Originally Posted by BAGGED1996CHEVY

I firmly believe that if you order a new one and have it on hand when you take the old one off it will not break. Other than that a little glue is holding my (second) one on just fine.
WHat is it with you monkeys? Mine was off plenty of times before I greased up my latching mechanism - I have yet to break one
ok then head monkey how do YOU remove/install it without breaking it?Originally Posted by Joe

Last time I did it I broke a tab getting it off, and for good measure one more putting it back on somehow.

When I took mine off to fix one of the rods I managed to get it off without breaking it. I then proceeded to drop it and broke 3 of the 4 tabs! My 4 year old learned a new word that day.
