I have a Paint gun DeVilbiss HVLP, and when I spray urathane clear coat it has orange peel in it. I been using the 1.5 tip. Can I get some help?
Try a smaller tip (i.e. 1.3).
Will that help?
yes tip is way too large most modern clears use 1.2-1.3 check your tech sheet for the paint youre using...also what pressure are you spraying at?
We sprayed at 20 psi. On the sheet for the gun it says 23 psi, but I think that's too much psi. We usually use trans star clear. We don't reduce it down or anything just put the catalyst and spray it.
A difference if 3PSI probably won't make a huge impact. It will atomize it better, but you'll also get more airborne overspray. I would try to adding 10% reducer to see what happens. That will thin it out and should make it flow and level a bit better.
Alright thanks!
