I would say call someone at the dealer that you have it serviced at and ask them about it. I don't think it will cause problems because I think you have to have your mileage "certified" before getting it switched over.

Hi,
I have a 2002 Silverado and I would like to add the Cadillac instrument cluster to improve the looks and use the transmission temperature guage. Does anyone know if doing this will void my warranty? I know that I can either transfer the mileage or put the sticker on my door jamb, but despite this I'm afraid that once they see that the cluster has been replaced with one out of a different vehicle, they may not believe that it's the actual mileage and thus deny me any warranty work. I have an extended warranty, but I'd like to change the cluster soon. Thank you for any responses.

dumm...in oklahoma, almost any mod. will void the warranty, but like the guy before me said, call the dealership and ask.

You'll have no problems. Just have the mileage 'transferred' over by a certified spedometer repair shop or use the GM door jamb decal. All this info and the part number for the decal is located on my webpage![]()
