I was just curious if fresh new weather stripping would "hush" the awful and obnoxious wind noise that leaks in from my extended cab windows. What i currently do is pull the latch out half way and it works for about 3 rides and then the compression from the doors shutting pushes them back out. I need help fast. Any other ideas are definately welcome on this one!!!

Have the same problem, seems to me that latch in mine is the problem doesn't pull the window tightly closed. Was wondering today if there is an adjustment for it. I'm going to check www.alldatadiy.com and see if there is, if I find anything I'll let you know.

Edit: Chevy has issued a tech bulletin for my 2000 Silverado on this issue, you may want to look into it on yours. Per alldatadiy.com: "A new body side quarter window kit is available to correct this condition.". Wonder how much that's going to cost me.....

Thanks Jailer. I am really about to trade the mother in on a new one just to get rid of the noise.

Try this. remove the latch from the window. Pull the nub on the window that holds the window closed. Remove the rubber seal that is on the nub. Go get some thin washers that will fit on the shaft. Put one washer on and reassemble latch. If it still leaks add another washer.

i have a simular problem with mine though i know its not the latch. my noise is coming from the out side of the glass closest to the front of the cab. the plastic trim on the edge of the glass is open just enough to drive me nucking futs every thime i drive it. i think i will take a look at it and see is some super glue will solve my problem.

If it were me guys.....I'd buy the new weatherstripping that mounts to the cab part of the window. That will compress and get hard after a couple years.
