    i removed the side panels up front by the windshield. while doing this the gold clips on most stayed in the frame and the lil plastic that held them onto it broke...anyone been threw this.
    1996 2 door tahoe 5.7....k&n intake ....dual magnaflow 2.5 inch exhaust

    I know what you are talking about. That had to be the the idea of the top crack smoker at GM. I would like to beat the crap out of that engineer. The only fix is another panel.

    Yup, it's common. You can epoxy the plasctic piece back on but you have to be carefull when snapping it back onto place and if you ever plan on taking it off again it will rebreak.

    Or......you can get a new one.....I don't think they are that expensive from the dealer.

    i cannot stress enough buy one of those panel tools from carquest i have never broke any of those

    You can't use a tool on these....you just have to pull and hope for the best.
