Does anyone know anything of putting a set of power bucket seats from a 2004 silverado into a 1990 silverado. I realize I do not need seat belts, and I am not concerened of the wiring, but has anyone done this? Do they fit decent? Are the too tall ot too short? Let me know if anyone has any info on this. I have a set of 2004 Dark Charcoal Cloth Buckets. I also Have a 1998 Light Gray Silverado Bench seat with attached center counsole that flips up or down that I will consider selling. Please Help.

the size should be OK,see if you can bolt the tracks of your OBS seats on the new ones.

Same problem I have. I picked up a set of buckets from an '01 for my '88 Silverado. The tunnel has to be flattened out a bit on both sides before I can put them in.

    pounding/cutting...?

are you talking about the transmission hump? why is it a problem? are the newer seats taller than the older seats? my old one rested on the trans hump and had two 6" brackets on each end...I solved my problem by putting Jeep Cherokee seats in my 88, but I have been contemplating a 2000+ swap when I find $500 to drop on a new seat.

    Thanks for the clarification
