Well I got some leather buckets from a 99 and the rear bench.... NICE!! Pulled the bench from my 88 Silverado and man have things changed.... so I got's a big iidea... Switch the hinges!!! Holy cow, what am I getting into. I have both seats pulled apart, found I need spacers for the new setup so that the seat bracket will fit back on the two arms in the truck. Then I'm gonna have to cut the bracket for the locking latch from the old seat and weld it to the new seat. What have I gotten into here???? Also have to drill new holes for the seat bolts to match the hinges! @#$%*&^$!!!!!

So....???? Has anyone in here ever done this??? Any idea's??? Any clue's???

Or........ should I just build a large sub box for the back... lol

The rear seat has been installed, yippie. Had to take my old seat (88) and remove the hinges, and do the same with the new seat (99). Then swap the hinges. Added a few nylon spacers so that everything would match up with the mounting holes in the truck. The change out was pretty easy and now I gotta do the front seats.......... but I'm waiting for my carpet to come. I'm getting anxious about this, the trucks gonna look new.... again.

i put the nbs front seats in my obs. i didnt do the back seat, i plan on filling that area up with subs some day!

as for the front seats, the driver side was easy, the passenger side is a lil more difficult and sits a lil closer to the door, but it looks good!

Still waiting for my carpet kit.... company let the order get buried and now I won't get it till next friday, so in the mean time.... the leather seats look really nice in the living room...roflmfao. Just got a set of MB Quart PCE 216's, gonna put them in the doors, so today I pulled the door panels, cut some 1/2" mdf and mounted the trim rings with dowels and aimed them with a laser in the cab. Just finished playing with fiberglass, they sure look fugly right now and I'm itching up a storm. Tomorrow I'll make the mounts for the tweets and aim them also. Maybe I'll get some bondo on them too. Starting to think that maybe kick panels would have been easier but wouldn't they be in the way of my feet?? Anyways..... maybe I'll post some pics when everything starts coming together.

These speakers are going in the 88 door panels. What a "pita", but that's where the fiberglass in coming into the picture. I'm mounting the speakers in a pair of raised and aimed "cones???" that I'm fabricating with FG. Just got enough room to clear knee's and the crossovers will mount next to the speakers on the mdf panes.

I just laid things out for the photos, still not sure if I'll mount the tweet as a coaxal or make a spot for it somewhere on the mdf. I'm thinking it might look better mounter separately....?????. Any advice... or comments????.

hmm... not bad. I've been itching to glass the bottom part of my door for my CDT components, but winter came a little too fast for me. I would mount them as a coaxal and get an upstage kit and put that in your A pillers or something. http://www.cdtaudio.com/stagefront_upstage_systems.htm
