Well guys I got my hands on one of those GMC factory underseat storage and tool box. It fits like a glove and is very well built. It is lockable and bolts down with special brackets, no drilling required. I got this thru a friend for less then $100 and did not pay the dealer cost of $500.

What did the brackets look like and what do they bolt to if you don't have to drill anything? I'm thinking about building my own box out of aluminum diamond deck plate.

Thanks Jokeman The box is pretty nice, it still allows access to the jack and stuff and the seat doesnt rest on top of it. I really like it so far

Y2KZ71 looks like your not the only one who was able to get their hands on the GMC box without paying a fortune...haven't gotten mine yet but it should be here shortly I think the boxes are a great idea but GM needs to work on their pricing. Alot better than just throwing the junk under or on the seat.

Throw some 10" subs in the box and it would be even better.

Looks good John. I didn't even realize GM offered those.

$500 seems high but for under $100 it's a no brainer. See it's not "what you know" it's "who you know"
