Hey everyone, I am planning on doing an interior swap sometime after I get my truck back from paint. I have a 94 GMC k1500. My question is where would be the best place to find interior pieces? Where did you (who have done it) get all the parts? Would you change anything about where you bought them? Would it be easier with a complete donor truck? Any info would be awesome!

    Thanks.

Junkyards... that would probably be the best thing.. if you got the money, then get a complete donor truck so you won't have to be going back and forth to the yard. Maybe there are some other useful parts you can replace to yours from the donor truck..

I went to a local junkyard and they charged me 100 for the dash including the airbag and 60 for all the other plastic pieces. I got my gauges off of ebay although I decided after to do custom gauges instead.
Selling my 2003 2500HD on 38s and 24s. Auction ends on 12/28, bid now.

Local junkyard is one possibility. You could also try a place that rebuilds and sells salvage/insurance bought vehicles as rebuilders....they typically will also sell parts off of vehicles they stripped the body/parts off of.

Ebay is also good, but you need to limit your search to a radius around you since shipping kills the deal

Junkyard. A donor truck would be ideal, because then you have the entire harness you can put in so all your wiring isn't hacked up, it will basically be factory.

i ordered the seats and carpet from custom seats in seagoville, wickedspeed built or wrapped the rest to match. i've got him working on a custom bench right now, and we'll be relocating the electrics again to keep them off the dash as much as possible.

while you hve the interior out, pad the floor with dynomat or brown bread or lizard skin or whatever. i'm going to when we pull the buckets out.
