    i was wondering if theres a way to relocate my 4WD handle (on the floor now) and change it to the buttons on the dash, that the 96- whenever models have

    You could replace the transfer case with an electric shift model to get the buttons, but you'd still have a hole in the floor.

    I'd rather have the shifter on the floor, one less thing to go wrong.

    Floor shifter just looks good and simplicity is always better.

    love it on the floor too cause you aren't relying on some pos switch to kick your truck into 4x. you know if is kicked in with the floor shifter.

    I learned the K-I-S-S method from US Army Special Forces years ago ( before they went high tech - a long time ago), and I always prefer simple, reliable, mechanical systems. And since I had the wiring go bad in my S10 Blazer and really screw things up ( permanent 4wd), THE STICK is where its at brother.

    someone just made a thread about a 4x4 shifter and a full center console, if I can find it, I will post it for you.

    ya keep it on the floor! keep it simple stupid, less electronics the least of problems.
