Hi, I have a 98' K1500 and I noticed that while I'm driving down the road my fuel gauge will move back and forth erractly. Please help
Might be the sending unit going out.. mine does that with my 88 sierra
Ive heard that its the gauge itself. But I dont know if that is true. Mine did it in my 98 c1500, so I upgraded to escalade guages![]()
Come to think about it, my dads fuel gauge needle shakes back and forth in his 98 silverado so it might be a gauge problem with those 95-98 trucks
mine was doing the same thing, shortly after my fuel pump died, i ended up replacing the whole gas tank instead of messing around out in the cold with parts, gotta love the -30 or colder weather here in BC, fuel gauge has been accurate and hasnt wobbled a needle since then
