01 silverado console removal

Does anyone know how to remove the center console in a 99-02 silverado? I wanna take out the tape deck and put in my cb. Ive seen it done before anyone who can help let me know.

easiest thing ull ever do...the long bezel that goes across your dash pops off, just ajust your steering wheel all the way down and put the truck in 1st gear so it will clear all that stuff then you just pull that bezel off its just held on with clips and it comes off real easy..just pull. then the deck comes out with three or four screws that i venture to say are like 7mm or something like that and...your done install the cd player and put it back together

If you're asking about the center console and not the dash here are GM's instructions.

1.Remove the screws securing the trim bezel to the console extension. (Behind CD storage door.)
2.Protect the console extension from damage then carefully use a small prying device to push in the tabs underneath the trim bezel securing the top of the trim bezel.
3.Remove the trim bezel.
4.Use a small screwdriver in order to release the CD player retainers.
5.Slide the CD player out . (They say CD player but my tape player is in the same location.)
6.Disconnect the electrical connector.
