Maybe this is normal, but my front windows slow down about half way up until they are closed.
This is for both the passenger and drivers side. This normal or the motors trying to give up?
Going down they are just fine.

I just replaced the regulator/motor assembly in mine....From what I've read it's a matter of time until failure. In my case, the wires frayed and wouldn't allow the window to move more than an inch or two in either direction. The motor was tired anyway and the window was acting like yours. It cost me about $110 for the assembly and took about an hour...........I could probably do the other side in about 20 minutes now.
So it's not normal then.
Darn it, I want to start putting goodies on this truck!! I won't put on one aftermarket thing until its mechanically and electrically sound.

my dad runs a shop so ive grown up messin around in the shop and we replace a lot of these. it will always be faster going down due to the weight of the window pushing down. first thing i would do is try lube in the window channels. sometimes some white lithium grease in the channels will do it for ya(works best to spray with door pannel off)next thing would be the motor. gm has been having a lot of window motor problems in newer cars. they dont seem to last near as long as the old ones. on the newer ones the chance of it being the regulator is very small due to the fact that gm started using a new style regulator that depends on a cable to move the window instead of the two metal arms. its very common for the cables to become frayed and break but most of the time when this happens the window will just drop down into the door. so id try lube and if not its prolly ur motor
about a year ago i replaced mine in my 02 tahoe, i changed the whole motor and regulator out cuz i fuggin broke the cable on the old one. but my point is, even the new motor i put in it goes slow goin up, from when i put it in and even now it still does it. now its starting to kinda pause about 3/4 of the way up, then it keeps goin up all the way after that. i got the whole assembly from ebay...so beware of where you get your motor and regulator from.

I replaced my regulator and motor in my truck a while back when the cable frayed and snapped. Replaced it with junkyard parts, but they were also slow, the motor however when plugged in, worked fine in both directions. Its really just the cable in the regulator, so if you replace anything it'd be my recommendation to replace it first, not the motor. Good luck tho.

the cable is a b**** though, once its removed from the wheel it snaps in, good luck getting it back in. thats how i ****ed mine up in the first place.
