Well I just bought a Escalade overlay and one stepper motor and buld and I got everything disassembled easy, marked all the needles and soldered the new motor in and I know its installed corectly because it can only go one way and all the points are covered. And I noticed the bulb that I got has a blue housing and I noticed the other gauges have yellow and the ones with the blue are my warning lights. Is this why my light dosn't work or do I have to reprogram my cluster the make the motor work? Sorry for the long post anything helps.

From what i've read, the gauge has to be 'enabled' with a programmer. Don't know about the light.
does anyone know if I have to go to a dealer or can a handheld do it? Thanks

That guy said $120 to just reflash the cluster and he said it will only take a few minutes. That is highway robbery.
