    New Member...Hi

I just bought this truck about a month ago: Silver '96 GMC 2500 4X4 Ext cab with 147K miles. Been a long time since I've owned a truck, and I'm really thrilled. This is also the first time I've owned a 3/4 ton, and I'm really glad I didn't sell out for a 1500. I also own two MCSSs; the '84 is completely bone stock and the '87 is completely bad aSS.

I've spent the past month getting things to improve the truck, and one thing I'm having a really hard time finding is light gray buckets and a center console for it. The driver side of the bench has a big wear tear, and though the stock dash cup holder is great for keeping coffee hot, it pretty much sucks for cold drinks...so I really want a center console with cup holders. That's why I'd like to go with the bucket and center console combo instead of the split bench I have now.

I know '99-present Silverados and Sierras would take modification to fit, but the gray is too dark anyway. What other options do I have to find what I'm looking for? Surburbans is one I was wondering about. I thought all of you might have some ideas for me. TIA

    Re: 60/40 to Bucket/Console Questions

What I would like even more than the buckets/center console combo is a 60/40 split bench with one of those large fold down armrests that has 2 cup holders in it. I've just never seen one in an '88-'98 Chevy or GMC truck.

I'd even be willing to completely modify the floor of my cab to get this option, but I want to avoid reupholstering costs for color match...so light gray is sort of a necessity in whatever vehicle it would come from.
