    Re: diamond plate interior

I'm no longer a fan of chrome, or similar. I ran diamond plate floor mats for years, but I dunno. True plate is stupidly expensive plus I don't know if it would ever look good for a full interior.

    Re: diamond plate interior

define "full interior", if you're talking about custom making a dash, and door panels, no.

if you're talking about replacing the stock trim inserts with diamond plate, its looks ok.

done in moderation it looks good. like if your goin to do the bottom of the doors, i wouldnt get plate floor mats. the bottom of the doors and the trim and stuff will look good, that i've seen. ive got pieces of aluminum sheet that i made up to fit in place of all my trim on my truck.

That sounds like a lot of diamond plate. Not sure how I feel about it though. It sounds like it is WAY too much. Pics will tell that for sure. I'm kind of interested to see how it looks.

But how did that guy drive in the sun? A diamond plate dash??? Sounds like a good way to blind yourself or someone else...

    Re: diamond plate interior

Well that might be a little better then. It still seems like a lot of diamond plate though. Maybe get rid of it on the floor, and possibly the back wall, and it could look pretty good. Post pics when you can.

    Re: diamond plate interior

I like some of it but not everything done in it. I made a plate too cover the hole where the stock AM raido was in my 1990 when I put a CD player in with polished aluminium diamond plate then gravel guarded it because I didn't like it reflecting in my eye's on hot day's.
