Minor Radio Question

I have a 2004 Silverado 2500HD 4X4. I have a dumb, not really important question, but the radio has an "info" feature where it tells you the artist and song currently playing. I've seen the same radio style as mine where it continuously shows the information, but with my radio it never shows it unless I press the button.

Anybody know what I have to do in order for it to show the information automatically without me pushing the button every time? Again, dumb minor thing, but I can't find the answer.

I alway thought it varied from station to station

I've tried all stations in my area. Some stations have no info at all, they don't broadcast it, but the ones that do... I gotta push it everytime.

I think if you push the recall button it will cycle displays. Hold it down till it beeps or flashes and it'll stay at that display. That may just be for the XM band though.

Our 2003 Tahoe's radio used to work like that till we moved. Maybe it depends on the radio stations. Dunno.

Yeah, I tried holding both the "info" and the "display" button down and the display button will beep but it doesn't do anything. I've seen my friends' cars with the same kind of radio do it, but mine won't. I have no idea why.
