Carpet in a 98 Single Cab

Do you think it's hard to cut my own carpet for my 98 single cab?? I really don't want to spend a lot of money for the carpet so would it be cheaper to cut it myself? Anyone got any opinions for me?

Hard? No. Will it look good? No. The carpets are pre-molded for a reason.
