Is there a trick to removing this without breaking it? Everyone I have talked to has said they usually break something when removing them. I am taking all the trim out smoothing her up and giving them a new shine of color.

pull out on the bottom and push up vertically to remove the clips on the top. Thats the best way i can think of i have done it once or twice this way. If one breaks, some epoxy will glue the clips back on. good luck
