Currently own a 2004 Silverado 2500 LS with the "standard" leather-wrapped steering wheel. I have been looking at installing the GM steering wheel that has the "redundant audio controls." This will also enhance the capabilities of the Driver Information Center. I know what's involved in the actual swap. But I'm thinking one of the computer systems/modules will need re-programming in order for all the buttons on the wheel to work.
Anyone shed any light on what would need to be done?

new wheel with controls, new clock spring for a truck with steering wheel controls, programming, expect to pay for a few hours shop rate as the tech will have to physically call into Tech assistance to get the programming codes to work for your vehicle and they'll add the RPO for audio controls to your RPO list
Thanks a lot! Appreciate it!!!
I'd like to do this too! Please keep us posted.
