I recently purchased a flip down 10" monitor, a remote mount dvd player, a tv tuner, a power inverter and a crap load of cabling from a 00 Tahoe. First thing I did was find a spot to locate the dvd player that was easy to get to for the kids.
I have already installed a Pioneer avh p3200 DVD in dash and had to do all the mods to make a double din fit and look perfect, (thanks f.s.c.) A JBL 800 watt amp and dual shallow mount 12" subs, so i figured why not try my hand at this too.
Mounting the monitor and running the wires no big deal, seems easy enough. i wanted to build a box/console for the dvd player right behind the jump seat, so i could run the wires under the carpet and keep everything clean looking. This is how I did it. PM for plans and measurments if interested. (remember this is my first time attempting anything like this so be gentle)

What you'll need:
3/8 plywood or particle board
3M super 77 spray adhesive
Pleather/vinyl, Carpeting
1/8 foam padding to go under pleather
tiny brad nails
staple gun
PATIENCE
First i made a template out of cardboard and taped it all together
This is the dvd player I am using, fits perfect!
Then I test fit it into the truck, trimmed here and there and came up with something i liked
I then transfered my template to 3/8 plywood and went to town. I covered the sides in black speaker box carpeting and the front and top panels with black pleather to give it a more classy look(you be the judge)
sorry i didnt get into the fabric covering steps but you can find those on any car audio site!
Dvd player fit like a glove. I am glad it tuned out ok, i was a little skeptical at times
The fit in the truck, The pics dont do it justice but it does look really nice, and the kids still have plenty of leg room.
If you like it let me know, if you've done it better let me see it, I will email plans and measurments to anyone who likes it. ENJOY FSC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
