Is there any way to change out my 5 speed shifter in my 1989 K2500? it unscrews down at the bottom but the knob at the top is one piece with the stick. just wandering if anyone has found any aftermarket shifters? Any ideas?

years ago hurst made a shifter for those trannys. good luck finding one now.

there were a few for sale around here awhile back. they got snatched up though.

be careful if you do happen to find one, there were 2 different versions made. one for the 88-91? and 92-95? i think. i am not 100% on the years but do know there are 2 different versions.
