I noticed the other day that the latch to open the PS 3rd Door on my NBS was broken. It looks like the plastic that went to the move the latch broke off, the handle (on the door jam) moved freely very easy and didn't seem to do anything. I am able to open the door by putting my hand between the door and the front seat and opening the interior handle.
Anyways, I'm going to order a new door latch (GM P/N 15758171) and was just curious if anyone had any tips on the general process of installing it and also what bit I need to take the old latch off. It looked to be a bigger torx bit. I'm at college, so my tools are limited but I may pick up a torx set or I will pick up the tools next time I am home.

same thing happened to me i took it off but havent ordered a new one yet... very simple to take off and put on basically just bolt on and off...i dont know the exact size of the torx wrench i just used a handheld set and figured out which one worked. maby go to a parts store and find a few and ask if you can take em out to your truck to see if they fit. good luck tell me how it works out for ya
