I'm getting some front leather bucket seats out of a 2002 Yukon tonight, what size wrenches do I need to take to get everything out? Am I correct in thinking that the seatbelt is attached directly to the seat? Thanks!

Yes the belt is attached directly to the seat, but the bolts holding the seat to the floor pan are external torx. I have heard of people using deep well metric sockets and getting them off though. But I can't remember the sizes for sure.

Well I got there and he had the seats out, hehe. Even though they're not the color I want, I can't pass up on the price for them both.

Well, I went to try to put the seats in today, and the brackets don't look like they'll work at all. Has anyone on here put seats with the attached seatbelts in a OBS regular cab truck? I *might* be able to get the driver's side in, but it looks like the passenger side is a no-go.

Okay, just to update, I was able to get the driver's side in but had to drill four new holes. Due to the seatbelt being part of the seat I was able to bring it outward about an inch for the outer holes, using the center stitching in the seat to line it up with the steering wheel. My only problem was that the hump in the back part of the cab doesn't allow the seat to go all the way back. I think if I can trim the back part of the inner (closest to the center tunnel) rail by about 2 inches, it would have enough travel then. With that done, I think that I can do the same for the passenger side and it'll work as well. I'm going to try to install the center console I picked up a few weeks ago, it's the later obs style. Will it just bolt up, or will I need to drill new holes for it as well (I haven't looked underneath past the seat portions).

Do yourself a BIG favor before you get to far in this. Put something on the underside of the floor pan where you drilled you new holes for the seats.Make it about 3"x3" to help spread the load of the seats being bolted down. More of a safety thing than anything.

Oh, I've already thought of that. I'm currently using large washers, but when I take them out in a week or so and dye the leather, I'll weld some metal braces to the underside similar to what was there for the original mounting points. Good point to bring up, though. I'll have to go longer on the bolts that are closer to the center tunnel anyway.

Don't want to see anybody get hurt or worse from something that was over looked.

Well, I was able to get the passenger seatbrackets to sit flat and ready to bolt in. It just took a little work with a big hammer on the transmission tunnel (I looked underneath, there's plenty of room). I'll finish getting the seats in like I want them later this week and then run the needed wiring for the power seats. Does anyone know why the driver's side switch has a 3-pin connector and the passenger side only has a 2-pin? I can only assume that the 3rd pin is for the seatbelt light?

Seat heaters or lumbar support, seat belt light wire should be inside the plastic sleeve of the seat belt.
