Do any of them work? or did just one or two die out?
If all of them died then it's a wiring issue, like a short or something or a bad fuse. Check the interior fuse panel and see if any of them have gone bad..

Stupid question guys I have a 1997 Suburban and the lighter has failed. I have looked at the dash and tried to remove the unit with taking out the panels upper and lower but I still could not get it to come out. there is no room to reach around and I don't want to destroy my dash to get it out. Any help is greatly appreciated.![]()

If you do end up needing to remove it, the whole panel is held in by four push-pin style fasteners. They're black and rectangular, about 1/4". The center piece of each fastener pushes out from behind (use a pick tool or something similar) in order for you to remove the assembly. When the center piece is pushed in, it spreads the two teeth of the fastener, holding it into the dash. Hope that makes sense. These are very easy to break if you try to muscle them out, so be careful.

Thanks for the response are those pins located behind the "rubber stops" for the power outlet doors??
