There is actually a sticky explaining how to do just this. There is also the gauge cluster from llate 91or 92?? i believe.. that is plug and play. But they are hard to come by and usually pretty pricey. I swapped one in my 90 that was out of a 94. With just alot of wiring and tracing. It helps if you can dig up the wiring diagram for both years (your truck) and (donor clust year) because the wires varied a little in color from year to year. I was fortunate enough to find both years on here.

Take some time and read this. ^^^^^^ i bet i read the whole thread 5 times over before i did my swap. And a little heads up ...GM decided to use the same color wire for multiple things..I had like 3 browns 3 blues..and so on...make sure you label them before you cut that what you know what was what when u look at your pinouts. hope that helps have a good one.

If you can find a late-'91 it is pretty much plug-and-play. They are somewhat rare but they can still be found. Make sure you get the one with the metal back.
