Take a 7mm nutdriver, 7mm socket and carefully start removing stuff. There are 5 (I beleive) screws on the top of the dash three of which are under the front of the defroster duct and another two (one on each side) under the speaker covers. I did it by myself, but it would go so much smoother with another person when it comes time to actually remove/replace.
Are you using the same year for your replacement? I had ran into a minor issue with the instrument cluster plug when I did my swap. I was going to go the coverlay route, but when I found a good dash for $50.00 I decided to swap it and glad I did.
