Front seat swap

Has anybody tried to swap a front seat - the 40/20/40 out of a '07 and up into an '03?

Is it an 07 Classic? What is the seat configuration of the 03?

I should have been more specific. I want to swap the front 40/20/40 seat out of an '07 or newer truck into my '03. I currently have the 40/60 split bench. I'm curious as to how do-able this is. I love the seats in the new trucks.

I am not familiar with the new seat designs to say if they will fit into an 03. I can tell you with a 40/20/40 seat you will have four sets of bolts to work with. That would be the first thing to check is if the bolt patterns are going to match up. Also you may have to do some re-wiring or adjusting for the eletronics that are hooked into the seats.

Thanx for your replies Bill. I was curious if anyone had already done or attempted this swap. My brother has a new truck with the seat that I like. I'll check his truck out and see how they mount up.

I put 99 seats into my 05. I do know that the seats from 99 up to classic 07 will swap easily. That is if you have the same style when it comes to being a straight bench, 40/20/40, or 60/40. The one area I had to work on was wiring. Many things had changed under the seats from 99 to 05.
