Yes, the 95 brake pedal for hydroboost is different from the 95 brake pedal for vacuum boost. I know this for sure on my 95 tahoe.
Not sure if it is backwards compatible, but most likely it is.....

I have a few questions on swapping to a newer dash, since I don't think anyone really posts in the old thread anymore. My truck is an 88 with no a/c. The heater box is broken, can I use a non a/c box from a 95+ truck, so the cables will match the 95+ heater controls? Or are they the same boxes, and I can just use an 88-94 one with 95+ controls?
Also, the truck is going to be converted to hydroboost, what pedal and rod do I need?
Edit: What I mean on the pedal, are the 95-98 hydroboost and vacuum pedals different like the 88-94 hydroboost and vacuum pedals are? (They have the pedal rod pin in different spots). Can I still use a 88-94 hydroboost with a 95+ pedal/rod?

Cool, that's good to know. I wonder how hard it will be finding a 95+ manual transmission/hydroboost pedal?
Any idea on the heater box?
