I just baught a 1999 Tahoe 4dr, it runs perfectly, the only problem is the gauges act a bit weird, I been doing some reading but I still can't find a solution, hopefully someone can help me out. When I start the truck the rpm gauge reads at 3000 when the truck is idling, the fuel gauge vibrates ( but it's accurate), the volt gauge read 19v and the temp gauge reads at 110* when the truck is cold, Would I have to replace the stepper motors on all of them or is there one solution to all the gauges being wacky, any help would be highly appreciated it. Thank you

That's what I was thinking of doing but it does seem weird that most of them are acting up, I wonder If I can just move the needles to where they belong
It couldn't hurt to try, I guess. My buddy's '99 yukon gas gauge vibrates also. Not sure if it's the stepper motor or the sending unit.

Could it be a bad or loose ground connector??
sounds like the cluster has been taking apart and needles were never put back the way they were taken off ;)
i highly doubt its the motors, you may just need it calibrated.

I was also thinking that, do you have a picture of the gauges needles where there supposed to be? So I can correct them
Or how do I calibrate the gauges?
You'll most likely have to remove it and send it out.
Dang! Where can I send it? Any one in San Diego?
