I have a 2010 ext. cab silverado work truck. I am considering putting in Power windows and maybe power locks to replace the manual ones, it really sucks to reach over and crank down that passanger window

I am curious if it Is best to buy an aftermarket setup or scavenge factory parts off of a junkyard set of doors?? Any input from those who have "been there done that" would be great!!

    thanks

I did that on my Camaro when I was a kid, I just got an aftermarket kit and wired them in to the stock switches. It'd be harder to do that in your situation, since the door panels are different (one nice thing about early 90's GM, they were too cheap to make two different doors, so a lot of switch blanks were used), but you could get some switches that still look good. We used to do that a lot when I worked for a Ford dealer.

Another thing to consider is that there probably aren't that many 2010 Silverados in junkyards yet.
