I just got this '76 4x4 4 dr long bed chevy. My plan is to cut the frame down to make a short bed, I'm pretty sure Chevy never made one of these factory, if anybody knows otherwise please let me know. If they made one factory then it just won't be as cool. I'm planning on running about 10" of lift and hopefully some 20x12's and 37's. Any body got any good suggestions on wheels? It's 8 lug. Any body had good luck the the swamper Irok's?

    3+3, sweet
Funny how they didn't sell for crap, then like 20 years later, everyone wants a 4 door pickup!

It was never made to my knowledge. IROKs are a good tire two of my friends have them in a 36x13.50-20 radial. They pull pretty hard in mud at least as good or better on some occassions better than a TSL. I like them and they seem to be holding up fine after 4,000 miles and one rotation.

Cool idea. I may do mine some day when I can afford it. GM never made the short box in the crew cab until the newer trucks. I have seen a few here and there they are all custom jobs. Is you truck a 3500 or a 2500?

    Here is mine.

Here is one I have seen. Sold for 11,000.

    And another

Re: '76 chevy 4dr short bed?

Mines all cut and put together, Just waiting on the engine at the machine shop, And the trans is at the tranny shop.

It's a '91 Old OBS 3+3 crewcab shortbed (now) TBI 454, 4L80E, 208, etc. I actually used an '83 reg cab shortbed 4x4 and lengthened it 33"s and put the cab over on it. Was alot more simple then cutting down in 2 places. Plus mine was a crewcab dually 2wd. It has 1/2 ton stuff for now, till I get a 3/4 front. I have the 14FF for the rear already.

I just can't decide what to do with it for sure, I am torn between finishing and selling. Pics are here.
