Im looking at a good shop in NC to lift my truck. I have an 05 ext cab z71 with atuotrac. Im looking at a 6" kit and 35's or 6" supension/3"body and go with 37's. Im thinking ill just start with the 6" supension and 35's and just upgrade later on down the road. I know of Down East Offroad, but there prices are fairly high. They want 2200 for a 4" rancho kit install, 850 for a PA BL installed, and 1750 for 4.56 gears. The gear quote seems way to high to me, maybe if lockers were included in that but with lockers it was well over 2k. I know of the 4wheelparts here in Charlotte but have gotten mixed reviews about them. Some good, some horrible but they do have this coupon in a mag i got from them, If i buy a lift on Oct. 14 i get 50% off of installation, which could save me a lot of money. Im gonna call and see if they give you half off on the gear installation, if so i will be heading down there. Anyone who works or runs a shop in NC or SC pm me the info to your shop and a website if you have one. Also anyone know of a good shop post the name, phone number and a website so i can call and see, thanks so much guys

Im about 2 to 2 1/2 hours away from you. Is there a shop around you? I just found the Carolina Rock Shop in Charlotte but they specialize more in jeeps more than anything else. If there is one around you can you list a number and about what there prices run? I just think a gear swap oughta be alot less. Let me know where you are talking about, thanks so much
Not much into lifted FSC's nothing agaisnt them I just don't own one. And yes there are alot of us here on FSC from NC. I'm in New Bern check out the link

Do any of you guys know of a good offroad shop in NC/SC area?
Might want to try Galloways 4wd, www.galloways4wdcenter.com. If you talk to them try to get someone other than the owner, Lester (the old man if you go there) he usually has so much going on that he forgets half of it. I think he only does tires/wheels though. Carolina Rock Shop does real good work but at least a couple months ago they where understaffed and had so much work that their customer service suffered some. Don't go to Tarheel 4wd or 4 wheel parts.
2nd what mad dog said
Whats wrong with tarheel? I have heard about the horrors of 4wheelparts. Im still just weighing my options, keep um coming great info guys
tarheel is ok, they mainly specify in jeeps
there is also hicks total performance in mooresville, small shop but they do good work, they did some lifts for randy marion chevrolet on my friends 2500hd 8", and i beleive also built dale jr's red jeep as i heard some where
Galloways is good too,

Tarheel does specialize in jeeps, but they do plenty of nbs chevrolets also. The guy that owns tarheel has a 2001 reg cab chevrolet with the rancho kit and 35s. They put the 4.10s in my truck for me last winter.
