    How to Adjust Positive Camber

Support FSC and see no ads! - Click Here
Well i can see my tires taking a toll on the cranked TB's. My tires have positive camber, and i want to know how to adjust it myself. In know, i know i should just take it to be aligned, but i just need to do something temp. until i can get it into the shop. So can someone tell me how to move to the top of the wheel in and the bottom out? thanks.

    Re: How to Adjust Toe-in....

You're asking two different things. It sounds like your camber is what's off, not your toe.

This picture explains what caster/camber/toe are better than I could, but basically camber is the vertical in/out adjustment, and toe is the horizontal in/out adjustment.
    [

EDIT: while you can probably visually tell that your camber is off, your toe probably is off too. When I cranked my torsion bars, my camber was actually still in the acceptable range, but my toe was way off. Toe is adjustable with the tie rods, but I'd definitely suggest getting the truck aligned as soon as possible.

I would just get it aligned as soon as possible. Toe is what causes abnormal tire wear more so than caster or camber.

    Re: How to Adjust Toe-in....

Something you want to make sure is that you have around 1/4"-0" toe in so that your vehicle drives straight and smooth so that your vehicle tires are working together and not fighting the ruts driving down the road. When schwab aligned mine they toed them out, causing excessive tire wear and really crappy driving. So we jacked it up and did it ourselves by taking some measurements and getting it adjusted through the tie rods. Make sure you have some toe in while your at it. Just my two cents.

Definitely get it aligned by a reputable shop, that's the easiest way to get your geometry right without having to learn A LOT of information and buy some pricey tools...

sockets are pricy now? the only thing that i can think of that you might need is a tie rod claw, but i've never had a situation where i havent been able to get by without one.

Have fun doing it yourself, but you'll need to grab a 19mm wrench and socket (?) and adjust the two camber plates on the UCA simultaneously.

for just temporary, loosen the 2 nuts on the upper control and spin the bolts, this will adjust your camber.
