Re: Custom Offroad Bumper Build (No 56K!)

Thanks for the compliments. I went and got an HD hood today and took it in to get painted as well as went to the local line-x dealer to get an estimate for the bumpers, steps, rocker panels, toolbox, and bed. It's gonna be expensive but should look good when its all done. I'm waiting on the estimate now. I'm also going to be picking up a warn 12000 winch in the next few days. I'll be sure to keep the pics coming as the rest of this build progresses.

Oh and I figured the air force jokes were gonna come but I've already heard them all over the past four years haha! And no, you don't have to be at attention when reading this thread hahaha

Re: Custom Offroad Bumper Build (No 56K!)

Well, I figured you guys would want an update on this. My buddy and I have been grinding away at those wells and have made good progress. We only burnt up one grinder so far so I'm pretty happy about that. I've also put on a newly painted HD hood and did a little lighting effect to the "HAZARD" cutout in the front bumper for when I wanna show off at night. Lastly, I bought 4 D-rings from farm and barn and threw them on there for kicks. I'm pretty much just waiting to get paid again so I can do the line-x. My overall plan with this truck is off-road functionality while looking totally s**t hot. It actually has get downs, too, which is always a nice benefit. I whooped two Hemis the other night haha. Guess that cam, bb tune, and rebuilt transmission did the trick... Enough blabberingfrom me, here's the pics:

Re: Custom Offroad Bumper Build (No 56K!)

Thanks a ton for the compliments guys, it means a ton.100% of this truck I attribute to you guys and all the knowledge I have gained from this forum. In terms of cost, well thats something I need to work on calculating. I've been doing mods to this truck since I got it two years ago and I am well over 15k in replacement parts and add ons. In terms of this particular build, I've honestly only spent $170 in materials. I bought one sheet of 4'x8' of 3/16" steel and a 5" x 10" piece of 3/4" thick steel. I'm not sure on the weight either. I should probably figure that out too, haha! The square tube and support pieces for my steps were free. If you guys have any other criticisms or ideas for this build or my truck in general, plz throw them out there. I just got my warn 12000 pound winch in the mail and when I throw that on there, I'll be sure to post pics again.
