I was curious to know if anyone knows why they put poles up to keep us from 4 wheeling out at Egret Bay? Do any of you guys from the Clear Lake or surrounding area know?

Isn't that a huge construction area there? Been awhile since I've been down that way...

haven't been wheeling there in a few months, i was curious to know also. the last few times we've been there cops have been giving us a hard time, and saying there have been accidents on egret bay becasue of all the mud flying off their cars after theyre done which causes the road to get slippery. then he was like "you boys want to come out here with a shovel and clean up all the mud on the road", so we were like "ok, we will" then he started being a jackass and threatened to write us treaspassing tickets?

is the back entrance closed? i doubt so, so there is still ways to get back there, but i dont know what the cops would have to say about that.

Well the front entrance kind of has two ways to enter. In front of both is a set of 3 posts. The back entrance by the boat ramp also has a set of 3 posts. Now these sets of post in my opinion in no way hinder entrance to the area but they do have no trespassing signs on them . I wonder if something bad happened back there or if cops are just mad about the mud on the road? I mean people have been going back there for years and years and it was never a problem before?

No there is no construction there. Not a good place for it either cause everytime it rains hard that entire place goes under water.
