backspacing on stock steel rims

wondering the backspacing on the stock steel rims on 04 chevy. the 16 inch wheels. also are they 7 or 8 wide. thanks for the help.

I believe its 5".

yes the b.s. is 5" and im pretty sure that the size is 7 not 8

im putting a 16x8 on and i wanted to make sure the backspacing was same as stock so if i go with a spindle lift the wheel will clear.

Some spindle lifts require less backspacing than stock. Check with the lift manufacturer for a max b/s before you buy rims.
