Torsion keys on a 2wd GMT400 burb?Should be coils.
1500 or 2500? (assumign 1500, as 15" wheels are hard to fit on a 2500).
Have you looked under it yet?
4" front spindles, 2" rear block, done.

Hey guys, Im new to the site and want to say i love it! Its very helpful and informational!
I just got a 99 2wd suburban about a month ago after my firebird was wrecked, so this is my first truck/suv. Im needing a little help figuring out the best way to add some lift to it while on a budget :/ I dont want to spend the money on an all out suspension lift but would still like to add 2-4 inches to it. Not sure if i should go with a body lift or torsion keys or what, just a little lost here. Im wanting to add some larger tires to it as well while keeping the stock wheels (theyre the 15 in 5 lug wheels btw).
If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate the advice,
Thanks!!!

Well I was looking through different options and I had saw torsion keys as one of them so I wasnt totally sure. Yes it is a 1500 and I havent really looked in detail under it yet :/ Ok, Great! I will probably go with that then. What would be the safest bet on tires? It seems most people are putting 285/75s with no problem.
Thanks again!!
go with 4in spindles & 3in blocks. are you planning on keeping your 15's? you can run 32/11.5r15's no problem or 33/12.5r15's with minor trimming.
Awesome! just what i wanted to hear! Ya, im planning on keeping the stock 15s.
Ok cool. Ya, most of this is new to me so im learning. Ive been looking around on the internet for a good brand kit to go with and some brands dont carry it for that year and model. So it seems like i keep getting the run around. Most of the ones I have seen though come with the 3" block.
Rough country sells a 4in lift spindle kit. there the cheapest I've found. the kit comes with a 2in block though
Ok great, thanks again!!
i would do an add-a-leaf on a burb instead of blocks.
i got the last set of fabtech 4.5" knuckles on earth!(well i did for awhile)
I kinda wondered that for a sec. Would it still put it close to level?
Yeah.
I wouldn't go bigger than 2" if you do run blocks.

Ok! The add a leaf adds around 1.5" to 2" right?
Ok. That helps a lot. Thanks again for all the help!
Instead of the add a leaves and a block, you could go with a shackle flip.

Hmm, never heard of a shackle flip. Well the rear end def sits higher than the front. So im assuming it will still have a rake if i do a shackle flip?
According to Offroad Design, the shackle flip for these trucks lift the back 4 inches.
