hey guys im from peoria il, ive been looking all over for some good trails(or any trails lol). everywhere i find is gated or no trespassing-im not for illegal wheeling. can anyone help a guy out. ive looked everywhere n had no luck. i would go to cliffs insane terrain but no1 wants to make the trek with me, it sucks. n i dont know a whole lot of guys with 4x4s. ive heard about a couple little spots-one in chillicothe by the rec area, but i have heard its ok, and ive heard its not ok. ive also heard the same about mendenhall road out by bartonville, but some guys say its keystones property n u will get in trouble, then ive had others say no worries,(i havent checked either out for myself tho-gas price is crazy lol) so idk. if anyone could help me id greatly appreciate it. i dont have a winch. all i got is a mostly stock truck on 33" super swampers(gettin kinda worn out) n some recovery hooks i put on in the front. so i gota b kinda careful lol.

ya iv'e heard about the cliffs, and badlands. but i was kinda hoping to find some local trails around my area. i want to go to the cliffs, but i don't know a lot of guys with 4x4s, and the guys i do know don't wanna drive out there with me(they suck lol). i also hear the cliffs is really difficult for stock trucks, so i'm kinda worried bout it. n i would die to go to the badlands but gas $ and no1 to go with holding me back. i guess i will have to meet a few guys n get out there one weekend or something. cause i cant find anything in my local area that's legal. i have a guy a few miles down my road who has a descent mud pit, i don't know him all to well tho. but it hasn't rained nearly enough to get it real muddy in weeks. iv'e been 2 times now, but the weather man likes to lie lol. one night i went out there n there was tornado sirens going off, sky was black n wind was blowing, all the radio n tv stations were saying severe storms n crap, we had 4 trucks out there waiting all night, not a drop of rain. iv'e been waiting forever for a hard rain so i can stop by the next day, but i'm just not lucky enough i guess. i cant wait to get in the real deep stuff n see what my trucks made of, but like i said it just don't get enough rain.

so how was the cliffs? i only live about 1hr30min away, is it worth the trip? i know thers a lot of spots ill never b able to get to(i got almost bald 33a n mosty stock truck-no lift) but would there b enough trails n spot for me to play. i hear its pretty advanced n body damage is likely, n im not down with beatn my body up-not yet anyways lol. if it happens it happens but id like to hit some trails that are a little more novice friendly before hitting real hard ones. u think that i can get out there n have a good time with out f'n my truck up too bad lol. cause i havent really tested my truck out, just in a few mud holes thats about all tho. i am dying to do some real trail riding. guess ill have to coax a guy or two into ridin up there with me, that might b a lil difficult tho lol

There used to be a club out towards Elmwood that would put on a mud bog, it wasn't as big as the Earth Resin bogs, but it was a place ot get muddy. They were called something like White Trash Wheelin.

I'm trying to put together another Badlands trip for mid to late Spetember, if ther are any other stock-ish trucks going, it might be a good opportunity to go over there.

Don't set your expectations too high, it was quite disorganized and rather disappointing for me when I went out there a couple years ago. Maybe they have improved since then though.

I'll let you know if we come up with any stock trucks. If Some of the other FSC guys go, they have stock-ish trucks and I'm sure you could follow in line. It would be much less fun for you to try to follow our group (Bray and myself) as the two platforms are a bit away from stock and would probably result in more damage than you want to experience.

I did get it, I think the forum ended up sending me three messages... LOL
