    5.3 fuel pressure?

    Hi guys,

I was wondering if someone was able to tell me how much stock fuel pressure the 5.3 Vortec needs. I am wondering if I can use my stock intank fuel pump. It pumps 65 psi so I am hoping I can cut some corners with the swap. Thanks for any help!

65psi should be plenty. I THINK the stock pump is 50-55psi.

    Thanks Martin,

I have been trying to find something in writing but am have a hard time doing so. This will save me a lot of time, trying to fab my YJ gas tank to take the 4.3 intank fuel pump and sending unit that I have. I would have had the fuel pump plastic welded to fit into me tank.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. Well I guess I can just use my stock fuel pump because I know it pumps that much. I thought that four more cyl. than I have now would need more psi. Well I guess you learn something new everyday. Thanks again, Jay
