Stage One JetChip to Westers 87-89 on a 98'

Has anyone ran a stage one jet chip on a vortec with regular fuel and then gone to a Westers 87-89 Octane tune? If you have how much power did you gain? Was it enough that I should try to get one? I know that there are other things that are better about the Westers but I want to know the power difference the most.

Get the 93 hot tune. Why settle for less when you can have more? I'm guessing you can't get anything over 91 octane in wheatland like it is here so my solution is to mix my own gas by adding octane boost to make up the difference, that is after I get a 93 hot tune chip.

I believe there is an 89/91 dual tune. I would definately get the Wester's. If anything you could try it for 30 days and then return it if you weren't satisfied. That way you could judge for yourself whether the performance difference is noticable. I'm definately happy w/ my purchase.

I assumed since you live in the country like me that you couldn't get anything over 91 but I'm wrong.

I'm aware of how high gas is and thats why I'm going to make my own 93 octane out of 87 by adding the octane boost.

Octane booster can be expensive, They claim 2-3 POINTS gain in octane per can/bottle. But the points are tenths!!!! 2-3 points = .2 to .3 points. Adding a can to 87 will give you 87.3 octane! At 5 bucks a can, its the same cost as buying 93!

The stuff I used (can't remember the name) actually worked though, well it turned the spark plug redish orange like it said it would. It came in a red bottle and said something like 104+ octane boost on the label or something to that extent. There is another type thats in a black bottle that is 106+ octane but its says for off road use only on the bottle but I'm not sure why.

right! but it does clean the injectors.....you are better off running a can of seafoam.
