well i just spoke w/ extreme1 and they said that the 454 ill work fine if u do it right(chip)...
and you have to change the injectors... search it, theres a few posts on it.
Rest in Peace Jason Payne
Put the 350 injectors in and up the fuel pressure. You'll also have to do something about the IAC motor and Throttle Position Sensor as these are different between the Throttle bodies. Turbo City has adapters for those that'll run you about $25.95 for the IAC and $12.95 for the TPS adapters.
You'll also need to port or bore the intake openings on your TBI manifold or use an adapter if using a 4 bbl. carb mainfold.
This is all that I can think of at the moment.

95 ecsb. Stock for now...
If the rest of the engine is stock then just leave the stock throttle body in place, going bigger will do nothing. Until there is a need for more incoming air there is no need for the bigger throttle body.

A TPS from a 4.3/305/350 TBI will bolt to the 454 TBI and work just fine. I put up info on my site on how to wire a 454 TBI IAC to a 350 harness:Originally Posted by 2nd Time Round

Check the page I linked to above, has info on which vehicles you can score the quadrajet manifold out of, otherwise turbo city sells both square bore (carter) and spread bore (Qjet) TBI adapters. You'll also need to port or bore the intake openings on your TBI manifold or use an adapter if using a 4 bbl. carb mainfold.
This is all that I can think of at the moment.

NO NO NO NO NO, you don't have to change injectors. I have it done to my truck. All you have to do it take your intake off and bore out the hole to allow for more air, then you have to go get a chip burned so you don't flood out your engine. But don't change your injectors or you defeate the whole purpose of putting a bigger throttle body on it. It makes for a hell of alot of power. trust me. you will not be dissapointed.Originally Posted by Whifflebat

I would recommend Hypertech. I dont know where you live. I got mine burned from a buddy of mine that lives right down the road from my shop. But I would recomend hypertech. Just give them a call and they will be able to do it for you, also they wont charge you that much for it. I got mine burned for $150. But I live in Moore, Oklahoma, right outside of Oklahoma City. if you live in this area i will tell him. But anywhere else I would just say hypertech... They are awesome with that stuff. Also if you are planning on getting a cam or anything else, tell them and they will recalibrate everything. If you have any questions, just ask.Originally Posted by venaka
I think tbichips.com would be the better choice for a custom chip.
Fergie, what other mods do you have and how did the bigger throttle body effect gas mileage? Was the power night and day difference or just enough you can tell its not stock?

Since when did Hyper ping start doing custom chips? Their off the shelf chips are hit or miss when it comes to performance gains. tbichips are quite a bit less and he guarantees his product. That's where I'll be going. Wans't very impressed with Hyperping personally.

Ill B going with Him whenever im done with my mods, But he better do a custom one for my 454 Throttle Bod and other mods...I know he told me he didnt think the 454 TB wasnt a good idea, BUt my buddie has one on his 350 just w/ headers and exhaust and it runs like a chevy on roids...
HEY ILL BE ADDING FULL exhaust (magnaflow), headers, 1.6 Rockers, and the 454 TB in about 2 weeks...and then the TBICHIP(if he burns me one with what i want)Originally Posted by oldred95
Ill post everything i needed to add for the 454 to work properly later....
DANG i feel sorry for the Subaru WRX in my garage
If I go with a bigger throttle body I will just buy another 350 TB off ebay or somewhere and get it bored and put 454 butterflies on it. I like the idea of plug and play.Originally Posted by venaka

You can do the math on your own.
On a stock motor, I don't trust you. I know he will be dissapointed. One of the good things about the lo5 is the low end torque. You will eliminate a great deal of it, if you use the 2" tbi on a near stock motor. Tune it all you want, but you're wasting time and money.![]()
