nos on my 96 4x4???

I am thinking of spraying a 75 shot on my 96 4x4. It has a vortec 350. Should I use a wet or dry kit? Who makes the best kit? I'm not going to run at the drag strip, just play with it around town? Thanks, Brett

I would spray it if I was you!I spray a 100 wet shot on mine and have aprayed a 125 shot but went back down to a 100 shot for just for the heck of it and plus the bottle lasts alittle longer!If you motor is in good shape then you will be fine,just do not abuse it or it will abuse you!Do some reading and research on nitrous on what not to do with it!Some people are afraid of nitrous because they have seen what it can do but most of the time like 99% of the time it s the operator/user of the nitrous that causes the problem due to activating it way to early when you should not active it until 2500-3000RPM but 3000RPM is better,some spray out of the hole but that is lookin for trouble!I have been through over 15 10LB bottle and my bottom end has 198,000miles but beleive it or not as some may think my motor has great compression,burns no oil and everything looks great!Like I said if you respect it you will have years of trouble free performance!
I have a Cold Fusion wet kit which runs about 469.00 which comes with everythin you need including the bottle but of course the 10LB bottle is shipped empty!

Nothing but a Wet kit, you need the extra fuel with the NOS.

Seen too many scored piston / ring lands from dry kit use.

Yes,do not run a dry shot on that motor,I used a dry shot at first and the very next day I went and upgrded to a wet!A dry shot on the LS motors work good but not on the vortec 350 motors,I tried it and I did not like it!

will the maf not compensate for the nitrous and add the extra fuel?

Yes the MAF sensor will pick up the nitrous but you have to remember that our injectors are only good for about 330RWHP and if you spray a 100 dry shot and you have other bolt ons parts then you will be close to maxing the injectors,or accually they are poppet valves and that is not good,now if you spray a 100 wet shot then you are pullin fuel from the fuel rail,there is a shraider valve on the inlet side of the fuel rail and that is where you would be pullin fuel from if you run a wet shot!You can spray a 100 wet shot but I would be very skeptical about a 100 dry shot with our injection,so if I was you I would definatly get a wet shot!When I ran my dry shot the first day I got it I only put a 50 shot in there and it would ping a tad bit and yes I did pull timing,I was only runnin 20 of timing at high map mid-high RPM which is really low,now on my shot I am at a 100 shot with 22 degrees of timing at high map midhigh RPM,if I would have sprayed a 100 shot dry on my truck I would have had serious problems cause I am pushin 280RWHP on all motor!
