I want a new mod for my truck but not sure which route to go. I am not happy with the shift quickness in my truck and was wondering how much of a difference a shift kit will make. And as for throttle body spacers, still not sure if they work or not but was leaning toward the Airaid. Any opinions on the differences between brands.

A trans-go shift kit would really make differance with your truck.

I'd go with the shift kit first. I'm in the middle of trying to make mine better than it is ( would like it to shift firmer). As for the throttle body spacer some love'em some hate'em. They say from 96 on up not to bother they only make an annoying whistle sound. I have no idea because I don't know anybody who has one.

I have the B&M electronic shift improver on my 99 5.7 crew cab, and that thing really shifts hard, adn it will hold the gears at wide open you find yourself wanting to lift off a little. As far as the throttle body spacer, im not sure. The say it supposed to bring in low to mid range up, but in theroy the farther the throttle body is from the maifold the better to top end. so as far as the spacer i'm am still looking for something. but i do like the whistle. hehehe

Most just do the Trans-GO shift kit. Skip the TB Spacer. None of the fast guys use em, period.
