Ordered Sunday from Oregan Performance's ebay store, arrived this morning (Wednesday). Took about an hour or two to install. It wasnt that bad, but this is the first time I've touched the trans and figured it would be a good place to start. I printed off the instructions from GMfullsize.com for use as a guide since the included instructions were beyond overly complicated (for me anyway). The hardest part of the install was getting that metal snap ring back on, after about 20 minutes I found if I leveraged a hammer between the cover and the body I could mash it down enough to get that ring in.
For $12 this is a very good mod, the 1-2 shift now is wonderful. Very quick and direct, not much firmer at part throttle but at WOT its a good shove. I wish all my shifts were like the 1-2. I had some shudder occasionaly and I have a feeling this will clear that right up.
I also bought a drain plug for the transmission pan for later use when I get around to that. Whats a good point to change the trans fluid anyway? Im nearing 20k.
