Wow..just read a 16 page thread on prom stuff. Good stuff!!
My signature has the new stuff going in, and I've decided the only way to run efficient/powerful is to self-tune. Here's what I'm going with on gear-
    1. burn1 chip burner
    2. chip adapter/new flash chip for 7747 pcm
    3. aldl cable

After buying a new custom chip (gotta start somewhere), I'm thinking of using datamaster for datalogging/analysis and TunerproRT for editing, then the burning software that came with the Burn1 unit to produce new chips.

I've been looking for the proper stock .bin /.xdf files for my truck, so I can start to get familiar with reading tables since I'm still overseas. (91K1500 L05 700r4 3.73) I think I found the right .bin-- ARJU.bin. Where can I get the .xdf for TunerproRT? Can't find it anywhere. What are .ads files? Correct me if I'm wrong, the .bin is raw code read by tunerproRT,the .xdf deciphers the .bin for the TunerproRT. Those should be the only two files I need to tune, correct? I'm soaking up info like a mofo, but which tables should I start with ? Where to from there?
    Thanks,

    Mike

Hey man alright, another newbie trying to decipher all this stuff. I am doing the same, just reading and reading some more. Also check out thirdgen.org. It's all camaro stuff but they have a ton of tbi info. I'm sure that some of the better guys like Fast305 or haulina$$ will chime in but yes the .bin is the code and yes the .xdf translates. I haven't yet datalogged but I'm pretty sure that the .ads files are the datastream files. Also, tunerproRT will datalog or winaldl. They are free, or just 30$ for tunerproRT. I would have to check for sure, but I bet you can get your .bin and .xdf files from moates.net. HTH.

By the way, what are you doing over there? Stay safe!!

Tunerpro RT is free, but you can donate to them becuase they are nice enough to make a free program for people who can't afford a 150dollar program. You can also get a free version of datamaster and you get like 30 dataloggs. Datamaster is really easy to use and if you run out of your demo you can always back up your hard drive and do a system restore on your computer and then reinstall.
