hey guys, i need a reply as soon as possible, its really important, i have a race coming up this week and i wanted to surprise the guy so i went and bought a Nitrous Supply 100 wet shot kit for my fuel injected 1994 chevy silverado 5.7/350 V8. well i have ran into a problem, in the instructions it says to run a hose from the fuel solenoid to the fuel rail, well i dont have the fuel rail like its showing, its showing like the big thick fuel rails, like an inch thick, mine is about as big as my finger, well i need to have a fitting in the middle of it and i aint got the right fuel rail, so the a guy from nitrousoutlet.com said to run it from the fuel solenoid to the test port, well i have no idea where the test port is, so can someone please help me??? i really need help quick!!

Wish I could help ya man. I think it will be ok if you tap into your fuel system anywhere in the engine bay. Where is springhill, LA? I am in new orleans area and I would love to see this in person.lol

haha yea i thought so lol but right now i have an ADS Superchip, 40 series flowmaster with no catalytic converter, and a Jet Throttle Body Spacer, and i am adding the 100 wet shot of nitrous. i will have to take the chip out to run nitrous b/c it advances the timing. so what do you think i will run in a 1/4 mile? right now i can get about 85-87 mph. i guess around 15.5 or so. what do you think i will run when i hit the nitrous?

There is no fuel rail and there is no test port. There is a special adapter that goes inline between the fuel line fitting and the TBI fuel fitting but that just gives you a port with a shrader valve for pressure testing purposes. You'll probably have to cut the fuel line and splice in whatever fitting you need. Its only 25 or so PSI absolute max pressure but you still need to use fuel injection hose that is rated at 150 psi for safety reasons.

Probably the easiest way to splice into the fuel line is to get a compression fitting T the size of the feed line, cut into it with a tube cutter, compression the T in there, and find a fitting to go from teh T to the size line you're using for your solenoid.

Thats not the easy route but its probably the better route. I was going to do that until I cut the line in the wrong area and didn't have room to flare it and come to find out AN fittings you an odd flare, I believe its 45 degrees unlike the common 37 degree flare. I may have those numbers backwards but I'm thinking that was the deal.

oh, well damn, that stuff sounds hard, which nothing is never easy..but umm, how would the fitting go into the line? i mean, this is the way it says, from the solenoid to the fuel rail, so how is the fitting going to fit into the fuel line?

You will have to put the T fitting into the fuel line your self. It would be easiest to cut into it right after the filter and run the line into the engine bay to the solenoid. Check out summit for the fittings and hose/line. Or if you are on a time limit get a compression T and fittings from the local auto parts store and the high pressure hose like oldred suggested. I don't know how strict the tech is at your track but they may not like this set up.

    Compression fittings require no flaring.

Possibly, but any splice you do has a chance of leaking. Do it right, and no issues.

Will you be posting the pics of your blown motor in this thread or a new one?

For your parents sake, take it to someone that can identify a fuel line and help you install it without blowing the truck up. Hacked up installations like this is what gives nitrous a bad name.
