Thanks Chuggernaut
lookin to keep it under $2000 :\ are there any kits available for a 90-95 5.7L? I didnt find any when i got curious and looked
from what you listed, the gears would make the biggest difference in performance.
2006 GMC Vortec Max Crew Cab, 6" Superlift bracket, 35" Dirt Grips, Corsa exhaust
Thanks.. I've heard 3.73 are decent daily driver gears.. would 4.10 give that much of an advantage? How much more would it hurt my gas mileage?
Headers with a true 2.5 or 3 inch dual setup (depending on what your going to do later) and 4.10's should get you moving very nicely
From what I've seen on trucks 4.10's seems to be the drag racing gear in the truck and 3.73 is more all around. With 4.10's you will suprise alot of people with the quickness of your truck off the line. you might want to look into a locker too like detroit true trac. All that sould run you around 1K if I'm not mistaken.

think i'd be able to hold the surprised look on peoples faces with a 5 spd manual?
