    what kinda of wireing issues will I run into when I put a carb on a tbi engine 93 5.7 -w- 5 speed trans. Or will everything work out ok since its a 5 speed?

    You'll need to replace the distributor as well, and remove the ECM because its going to get all kinds of upset. Also, your speedometer may stop working.

    Why are you ditching TBI? Unless you're running a stroked engine or really radical cam, the TBI is going to work better than a carb.

    I got a cam in on trade along with some roller rockers. I heard that big cams require alot of tuneing with a tbi.I would just rather buy a carb and save myself the headache

    i did this swap some what about 12-13 yrs. ago...(sort of) i went from a 5.7 to a 7.4 it had an auto trans 700r4, i put in a 400, didn't have any problems with the speedo but the temp gauge stopped working when i disconnected the computer. since you have a stick, it (should) be even easier for u. put in an old hei dist and then go have some fun!!!!!!1
