trust me, you will never see the claims in horse power gains from the intake manufactuers. just replace the filter and be done with it

im looking to get an intake for my 2007 classic 4.3l silverado, i already have flowmaster exhaust, and i am wondering which is better, i know the k and n gives 8.xx hp gain; and the volant says 8-10. anyone have any experience with either. thanks
I have a Volant without the ram air scoop and the Intake Air temp is higher than the outside temp. I have ordered the scoop and we will see how that turns out.
2003 Silverado 5.3 4x4, MSD wires, HPtuners and Volant CAI.
i have a 97 chevy fullsize and i like the volant setup. the k@n kept popping off my throttle body when i was out on the logging roads, and i had the intake put on tight and correctly.. you wont be able to feel the power difference with either since it is so miner of a gain. but your mpg will go up a little depending on your driving habits.

my friend has an S&B intake was cheaper then k&N, works pretty good so far
if you look at those gains they are at 4,000-5,000 rpms.
